Work has started at the former Prairie Elementary
School as the cafeteria and the hallway that connected the former administration
building and the main school building has been demolished as has the former
front entrance to what will become the “Sisters Apartments,” so named because
when this complex was St. Joseph’s Catholic Grade School the nuns who taught

Gertrude Fall Lecture Series begins at 7 p.m., this Thursday, October 4,
with Idaho songwriter and storyteller Tracy Morrison (shown above) who

The Prairie football team is trying to put together
a reunion of the 2008 undefeated state championship football team at this
year’s Senior Night football game against Kamiah on Friday, Oct. 12. This
year is the 10th anniversary of the first state football championship in
Prairie history. If you were on the team and would like to attend, please
contact Prairie High School at 208-962-3901 and leave your contact information
with Cheri Holthaus. Also please pass the word to members of the team that
you know that may not get the Chronicle. Members of the team are front
