Pirates
win by forfeit
The Prairie Pirates completed an undefeated run through the White Pine League with a win by forfeit over Wallace, who couldn’t guarantee a full game due to lack of players. The game goes into the books as a 2-0 win for the Pirates who finish 7-0 in league and 8-1 overall. Next up for the Pirates are the state playoffs. They will open against District 4-5-6 runner-up Raft River this Friday, Nov. 2 at the Kibbie Dome at 7 p.m. If they win they would play the Oakley-Idaho City winner on either Nov. 9 or 10 and would be the visitor for that game. The State 1A-D1 Football bracket. For the first two rounds the team on top of the bracket hosts, which means if Prairie beats Raft River Friday, they would travel to either Idaho City or Oakley next week.
