The Summit Lady Patriots won their season opener 49-27 at Highland Thursday, Nov. 15. Summit jumped out to a 13-4 lead after one quarter and extended the lead to 24-12 by halftime. After an even third quarter where both teams scored 8 points, Summit pulled away again in the fourth, outscoring Highland 17-9. Taylor Lustig and Jade Prigge each had a double-double in the game. Lustig scored 22 points and had 14 rebounds to lead the team in both categories while Prigge scored 13 and added 10 rebounds. Lexi Currier added 6 points with Erin Chmelik and Jessie Sonnen scoring 4 each. Also playing but not scoring were Dani Sonnen and Jiyun Iam. Summit is 1-0 on both the season and in league play.
