Summit splits league games
The Summit Academy Lady Patriots split a pair of league home games this past week. On Thursday, Dec. 6 they lost 30-52 to Nezperce. On Saturday, Dec. 8 they won their second game of the season 40-31 over Deary. 
Vs. Nezperce
Summit trailed Nezperce 4-13 after one quarter and 6-34 at halftime.  They managed to outscore Nezperce in the second half 24-18 but had dug themselves too big a hole in the first half.
Taylor Lustig led the Patriots in scoring with 14 points. Jade Prigge added 8 points while Lexi Currier scored 6 and Erin Chmelik scored 2.

Vs. Deary
Saturday’s game against Deary was tied at halftime with Summit pulling away in the second half.
Deary led 7-10 after the first quarter but the Patriots outscored them 9-6 in the second to tie the game at halftime at 16-16.
Summit outscored Deary 10-6 in the third quarter to take a 26-22 lead and then continued to pull away in the fourth as they outscored the Mustangs 14-9 to win by 9 points.
Lustig again led Summit in scoring with 12 points with everyone getting into the scoring column for the Patriots. Chmelik scored 9, Currier 7, Prigge 6, Jessie Sonnen 5 and Dani Sonnen 1.
Chmelik  led the team with 9 rebounds and Currier had 8 steals.
Summit is now 2-3 both overall and in league play.
