No. 193 - 12/31/2018
Well, we made it another year!  Despite the many prophecies of doom in January of last year, that certain economic conditions in 2018 would cause a market collapse, we are still afloat and surviving!  But it still makes sense to realize that things could change in a moment, and it is always wise to be as prepared as possible!
Admitted here, that this column has also suggested during the last couple of years that the future could turn sour at any time, and change immediately our present life style!
Bluntly, those of us who are believers in a Creator God who is responsible for all that we have here and for our very existence, sometimes wonder how we have escaped wrath from heaven!  After all, the number of innocent babes who have been destroyed in the womb,. and sometimes even callously slain after their birth, numbers over 3000 a DAY in the United States alone, making us the greatest killers of innocent humans in all of history!
Oh yes!  That comment makes me "politically incorrect" because anyone, or should it be said EVERYONE with any intelligence today knows that a woman's right to choose life or death for a child in her womb is an ABSOLUTE, and dare not be questioned  by any who choose to disagree! The comment here is simply SORRY!  A large majority of the near 60 million who have been aborted since 1973 would still be alive today if allowed to live at birth, meaning some 50 million or more American citizens would be walking around us today, raising our national population total to around 400 million. That is a fact, and can easily be verified if a person is wanting to know the truth! So one thing all of us can do is pray that the HAND OF GOD will continue to put up with this atrocity, and not send us the way of Sodom and Gomorrah!
Our last paragraph in last week's RNR suggested that a good resolution for all of us in the new year would be to BE INFORMED!  A tough task admittedly, as much of our current press and TV news chooses to suppress what they dislike and stress what they like!  The paragraph closed with a quick claim that a government department urged all Americans to be prepared to "feed themselves for six weeks" in the event our  electric grid was disabled, either because of natural conditions or enemy attacks.  Well, a number of you have written back to me wanting to know the source, and all I can tell you is that a google search: "DHS need for six months food supply"  gives me the following information! I quote some significant parts:  " ...Published by the Dept of Homeland Security, the government is urging the public to be prepared for a power outage of up to six MONTHS... the report, titled "'Surviving a Catastrophic Power Outage,' warns that an attack would likely come with little notice, and could cause complete chaos for at least half a year"  Later the article says: "The report is the second in the last month to warn of a 'profound threat' to the U.S. electric grid from terrorism or events like a solar storm or solar flare..."  Has anyone seen a warning of this kind in the national news?   Is it possible?   Or is it what you might call "Fake News?"
Finally, for years students and friends of mine have heard me say "silver prices have been suppressed and are due for a big  explosion!"  Well, I just finished reading several sources "In the know" about what is building under silver prices, and I cite  just a line or two of those pages of information!  The information claims that a return to the old ratio of 15 ounces of silver to 1 ounce of gold means that an increase to $4000 an ounce of gold means that a $1000 investment in gold would earn you a $3000 profit, but the same $1000 invested in silver could return you over $22,000!  IF the current 85 to 1 ratio would return to 15 to 1!!!  Hmmmm!!??
