Dear Youth in Christ, The sunshine is coming! As we look toward the promise of warmer days are hearts fill will hope. Hope is the greatest gift for our future. We can move forward knowing that there is always something more around the corner. Jesus is the hope that truly gives us life! As we gather together in February as a youth group in the name of Jesu, we strive to build upon this hope and move out in active response in all that we do! Our month begins with an invitation to spend time with Jesus in Adoration on Feb. 1st. Our time starts at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church. It is always a blessing to stop our busyness and rest in the presence of the Lord. Please join us in this wonderful time of praise! The Haiti mission team 2020 will me meeting in the kitchen at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church on Feb. 3rd with their assigned items to begin preparing for the 11:00 a.m. delivery. Please remember to bring your assigned items. We are taking orders for Chili and cinnamon rolls up until Feb. 1st. Please call Debbie at 208-553-5837 or Vicki at 208-962-3214 if you want to order. Thank you so much for your support toward our 2020 mission trip! The Confirmation Class will be meeting at the CEC on Sunday, Feb. 3rd at 11:30 a.m. Please remember to start working on your Bishop letter. It is due Feb. 17th. Please call Jim or Debbie if you have questions! Hey Junior High, we will meet at the OMG at 6:30 for pizza on Feb. 6th, this will be followed by a faith study. Please join us and bring your friends! On Feb. 11th the God Squad team is asked to join me at the OMG at 7:00 for a “theme dance” practice. It should take about an hour and snacks will be provided! I plan on attending the girls state basketball in Boise on Feb. 13th through the 16th so we will not have youth group on Feb. 13th. The Confirmation class meets on Feb. 18th at the CEC at 11:30. Please bring your typed Bishop letter with you to class. On Feb. 18th the Haiti 2020 mission team will meet at the OMG at 7:00 to plan the taco fundraiser for March. All team members are asked to be present! On Feb. 20th the adult planning team for the Confirmation retreat will meet at the Habit at 7:00 p.m. On Feb. 25th the God Squad will meet at the OMG at 7:00 for their final practice before ICYC. All God Squad members are asked to be present! On Wednesday, Feb. 27th the High School girls are invited to our “night of radiance” focusing on relationships. Please meet at Debbie’s office for food at 6:30 followed by our study and conversation. Hope brings with it the courage to go out and change the world. Let’s step forward and see where God takes us!
