Remacle takes second overall at Hayden meet
Marji Remacle competed at the 8:00 am session with her Bronze Team in the Snow Globe Classic 2019. This event took place in Hayden, ID. Eleven athletes were in Marji’s division and 1/10 of a point can move a competitor from first to fifth place. Marji competed on Vault and tied for fourth place on that event with a 9.05, bars (9.5) and beam (9.05) placed her fifth in both events. Floor, on the other hand, was quite a surprise. She placed first (9.2) and also added the round off back handspring to the routine. This is the first time that she scored in the nines with her back handspring in the routine. The score on Floor, when added to her high scores throughout the competition, placed her nicely in the Second All Around position. Marji’s 360 Bronze Team Placed Third as well. The next, and final, competition of 2019 will be the State Competition in Moses Lake, WA, in two weeks. If you see her, wish her well because this contest is heating up to quite a pinnacle.
