Cottonwood Gun Club won the 10-Week Shoot for at least the third time in their history and the first time since 1998. Shown is a photo from their Facebook page taken during the 2018 10-Week Shoot. See article above left.  Click on the photo for a larger view.

Shown is one of  the care packages made with the donations raised at Walk With Kate. The care packages each contain crayons & coloring book, puzzle, a lap blanket, a children's book about diabetes, stuff animal, carbohydrate counting book, log book & pen, glucose tablets, water bottle, and medical alert bracelets. The lap blankets were made by the sewing class at Prairie Jr/Sr High School and the stuffed animals have patches on it that children can learn how to give shots. I will be dispersing them to hospitals in the surrounding area so they can hand them out to children who have been newly diagnosed with diabetes. I have already donated some to St. Mary’s Hospital and Providence Health & Service. Again I would like to thank all the sponsors and donors who made this project possible. Richard Lane, who has been to Cottonwood a couple of times previously, will be here again for a Lenten Mission on April 4-5. Submitted by Julie Arnzen.Click on the photo for a larger view.

Sam I Am, The Cat in the Hat,  the Grinch, Cindy Loo Who, as well as Thing 1 and Thing 2 (and Thing 3 and 4) all attended school at Summit Academy on Monday.  Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade dressed up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character to celebrate the author's birthday.  Students in 6th grade visited the younger students to read their favorite Dr. Seuss book.  The activities of the day helped foster a lifetime love of reading for all the students. In the photo Julia Wassmuth reads a favorite Dr. Seuss book to Maddie Stubbers and Frank Lovetere. Click on the photo for a larger view. Photo provided by Summit Academy.
