names top scholars for class of 2019
The Prairie High School Class of 2019 has four valedictorians and two salutatorians. This year’s valedictorians are Kendra Duclos, Jordyn Higgins, Ellea Poxleitner and James Villamor. They have all maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout their high school careers. Kendra is the daughter of Mike & Tara Duclos. She plans to attend the University of Idaho and major in Crop Science. Kendra has been involved in HOSA, BPA, Knowledge Bowl and has been part of the cross country, basketball and track teams. Jordyn Higgins is the daughter of Bryan and Becky Higgins. She is planning on majoring in Physical Therapy at either North Idaho College or the University of Idaho. Throughout her high school career Jordyn has been active in basketball, volleyball, track, HOSA, BPA and Prairie League; she was also the Senior Class President. Ellea is the daughter of Glenn and Loretta Poxleitner and will be majoring in Biology at the University of Idaho. Ellea played volleyball and was active in Prairie League. James Villamor is the son of Dwayne and Kristina Villamor. James was on the cross country, track and Knowledge Bowl teams. He plans on majoring in Computer Science at Boise State University. This year’s salutatorians are Kate Lustig and Sabrina Lustig; they both maintained a 3.97 GPA throughout high school. Kate is the daughter of Bob and April Lustig. She is planning on attending Lewis/Clark State College to major in Business. Kate was active in Prairie League, was the Student Body Council Treasurer and was the Stat Keeper for girls’ basketball. Sabrina is the daughter of Doug and Karen Lustig. She plans on majoring in Secondary Education-Social Sciences at the University of Idaho. Sabrina played volleyball, was Senior Class Vice President and involved with Prairie League. Congratulations to these six very deserving students.
