names top scholars
Summit Academy proudly recognizes Taylor Lustig as valedictorian and Kayla Rehder as salutatorian of the 2019 graduating class. Taylor was involved with drama (4 years), volleyball (4 years), student government (4 years), Academic Bowl (4 years) and basketball (3 years). Kayla was involved with drama (4 years), volleyball (4 years), Academic Bowl (4 years) and student government (2 years). Teliana Martinez completes the class of 2019 after transferring to Summit Academy for her senior year. She was involved with soccer (1 year), softball (1 year), and drama (1 year). Taylor and Kayla have completed over 80 hours each of apostolic work during high school. Teliana has completed more than 20 hours. They joyfully brought Jesus to others through a wide variety of projects including visiting the homebound, bringing encouragement to young moms through Mommy Missions, caroling, visiting nursing home residents, serving as Eucharistic Minister and Lector, roadside cleanup, coordinating the Sparklers Club (a service group for younger girls), Ding-Dong blessings, church choir, planting flowers with assisted living residents and in many other small ways throughout their high school years.
