Pirates
take fourth at State
The Prairie baseball team struggled with their hitting and wound up
winning just 1 of 3 games at the State Tournament Friday and Saturday,
May 17-18 at Glenns Ferry.
In the opener they took the lead, gave it back then rallied in the
bottom of the 7th for a 5-4 win over Clearwater Valley, their third win
over the Rams in 4 games this season. Later on Friday they lost 1-3 to
Glenns Ferry. On Saturday in the 3rd place game they lost to Horseshoe
Bend 5-12. That left them with a 4th place finish. . . .

Prairie Elementary School held their Spring Cncert

Jessie Maimer, 17 yr. old daughter of Paul and Heidi
(Jungert) Maimer and granddaughter of Guy and Mary Kay Jungert, won the
state 4-A championship in women’s tennis singles this past weekend in Boise.
Her coach is her mother, Heidi Maimer. Besides her grandparents, Rene’
Forsmann, Shelley Blanchard and Renee Eckert were there for the championship
matches at the Boise State University tennis courts. Shown are Heidi
