record set at Just for the Hill of I bike ride
There were 47 riders signed up for the Syringa Hospice Just for the Hill of It bike ride up the old White Bird grade, with 39 finishing this past Saturday, June 1. The bicyclists started at Hammer Creek and finished where the old grade connects back into the new grade. Finishing in 1st place with a time of 43:47:64 was Albert Harrison of Moscow. He broke the record of 46:44.15, set in 2003 by Matt Weyan, by nearly 3 minutes. Shawn Howard, who finished in 2nd place in 46:01:44 also broke the old record.
