compete at Lewiston
The Prairie Cross Country team competed at the 23 school Inland Empire Meet at Lewiston Saturday, Oct. 5. The girls competed in the varsity race and took 7th as a team with 172 points. Ciara Chaffee was their top finisher in 26th place in a time of 21:55. Kyleigh Duclos was 30th in 22:20. Jessie Sonnen was 53rd in 24:33. New to the team, Leeann Lightfield was 63rd in 28:18 and Sierra Chapman was 64th in 30:21. Jayce Rambo joined the team as well for this meet and started the race but was unable to finish due to illness. The boys team competed in the JV race where William Hooper was the top finisher in 28th place with a time of 19:01. Justin Lockett was 88th in 21:23. Caleb McGee was 109th in 22:29. Kyle Schwartz started the race but was unable to finish due to injury. In the junior high girls race Zoe Hooper finished 13th in 13:48 while Addie Crowl was 26th in 15:27. Prairie’s next meet is at Moscow this Saturday, Oct. 12.
