Below are the winners of the VFW's Patriot's Pen, Voice of Democracy and Teacher of the Year awards for 2019. 
Kerri Villamor was this year’s local VFW Voice of Democracy winner. She receives her awards from Post Commander Dave Frei. 
Rachel Sonnen was the 2019 local VFW Patriot’s Pen winner. She receives her awards from Post Commander Dave Frei. 
Allason Zenner was this year’s VFW Teacher of the Year award winner. She receives her plaque from Post Commander Dave Frei. The above awards were handed out at the VFW Awards Banquet at Cottonwood Community Hall Saturday, Nov. 9. 
Leann Lightfield was the third place winner in the Voice of Democracy contest. 2nd place winner Nicole Rehder was unable to attend. 
Dylan Uhlenkott was the third place winner in the Patriot's Pen contest. 2nd place winner Max Rehder was unable to attend. |
