out for Prairie boys basketball
There are 20 players turned out this year for Prairie boys basketball. Seniors are Damian Forsmann, Sam Mager, Owen Anderson, Hayden Uhlenkott and Derik Shears. Juniors on the varsity will be Cole Schlader and John Gehring. Sophomore on the varsity will be Brody Hasselstrom and Zach Rambo. A junior who will player both varsity and JV will be Tyler Wemhoff. Sophomores who will play both varsity and JV are Wyatt Ross, Lane Schumacher and Kyle Schwartz. Travis Alfrey is a sophomore who will be a full time JV player. Freshman JV players are Weston Riener, Colton McElroy, Shane Hanson, Levi Walsh, Keenan Shears and Ryan Wemhoff. Prairie has a new head coach this year in Shawn Wolter with Justin Jones as his assistant. Prairie graduated most of their height from last year and will look to be a scrappy, hustling team much like last year’s JV squad was which had no player over 6’1” on the team.
