Cottonwood Butte Ski Area was busy with skiers and snowboarders this weekend. The weekend started on Friday with a Prairie School Ski Day. Prairie brought 109 students grades 4th through 8th to the ski day. We had a lot of fun with this great group of students! The skiing and snowboarding continued Saturday with the Butte receiving 3 inches of new snow Saturday night. With this new snow, the total snow accumulation is 26 inches at the base and 42 inches at the summit. The new snow made for excellent conditions on Super Bowl Sunday. In addition to the new snow, footballs were found on the hill and returned to the lodge for prizes. The skiing and snowboarding will continue Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
