Last week was Spirit Week at St. John Bosco Academy. The students had a great time dressing up different each day. Thursday was a talent show for all the grades. There were lots of very good acts, like dice or card tricks, hula hoop dance, singing accompanied by the keyboard and blowing huge bubbles. One class made up a school song to the tune of The Brady Bunch, only they changed it to The Bosco Bunch. The principal, Mr. Jim Hickel, played a drum solo and surprised everyone. Good job to everyone who performed. Photos by St. John Bosco Academy. St. John Bosco Academy celebrated our namesake's feast day last week with a talent show. St. John Bosco used to do street performances of juggling and magic tricks in his native Italy, which drew in crowds of children. He always prayed with the children before and after each show to encourage them in their faith. The SJB talent show had a variety of acts including juggling, magic tricks, singing, hula hooping, a one-minute hair competition, piano playing and drumming. Shown are Cassidy Bock, Madison Duman and Kaelyn Lustig perform a song. Photo by St. John Bosco Academy. Noah Beckman performs a card trick with Pierce Frei as his assistant.
