Anne Fraser, RN, Reading Club Coordinator at St. Mary’s
Hospital Clinic recently came to the Cottonwood Lions Club meeting with
a plea for donations towards books for their Literacy Program at the Clinic.
Rather than give a child who comes to the clinic a sucker or some other
candy, they would prefer to give that child a book to read. They do this
at all of the St. Mary’s Hospital Clinics. Several Lions Club members are
shown presenting a check for $1000 to help fund the program. Pictured from
left are Fraser, Jay Hinterlong, Jim Remacle, Joann Hinterlong (in back)
and Jack Uptmor representing the Lions Club and Scarlett Uhlenkott, PA,
who is representing the providers at the clinic. Click on the photo
