ends Lady Patriots' season
The St. John Bosco Lady Patriots’ basketball season came to an end last Tuesday, Feb. 12, as they lost to Logos 26-38 at Lapwai High School in District Tournament action. Bosco got off to a good start as they took a 7-0 lead but Logos scored the next 8 points to take a 7-8 lead by the end of the first quarter. Bosco scored just 4 points in the second quarter as Logos took an 11-17 lead at halftime. Bosco was unable to gain any ground in the third quarter as both teams scored 7 points. Logos then outscored the Patriots 8-14 in the fourth to win by 12. For the third straight game at District, the Patriots had just 5 available players as Erin Chmelik sat out again with a knee injury. Jade Prigge led the Patriots in scoring with 12 points while Lexi Currier and Jessie Sonnen each scored 5. Makayla Rose hit a first quarter 3-pointer for her 3 points and Dani Sonnen scored 1. St. John Bosco wound up placing 4th at District after going in as the #5 seed. They ended their season with a 5-10 record. SJB 7 4 7 8 -26 Logos 8 9 7 14 -38 SJB-D.
