Updates at the Credit Union offices
With the number of new cases of COVID-19 remaining small, the State of Idaho is moving forward with gradually reopening businesses statewide.  Our lobbies are now open.  We plan and hope this is permanent, but will continue to monitor the number and location of new cases and adjust if we need to. . . .

On Saturday May 9th a group of Greencreek men gathered at the Greencreek Hall.  They updated and cleaned up the area to the left of the Hall.   They pruned the big tree back, removed the fence out front and put concrete barriers out front, painted the metal storage container on the North side of the Hall and then they put up a pole fence on the back of the property to separate the Hall ground with the neighboring alfalfa ground.  The guys did a great job, it looks really nice. SpokAnimal came to Grangeville this past Wednesday, delivering approximately 575 lbs of dry pet food and 150 cases of canned cat food, which has all been distributed to local animal rescue groups. SpokAnimal also transported thirty six cats & kittens back to Spokane for adoption.  Although their shelter is closed due to Covid-19, they have been able to continue adoptions through sites such as Petco and Petsmart.  The cats & kittens transported were in local foster care and were coordinated by Animal Rescue Foundation and Animal Ark. We are very grateful for all of the help SpokAnimal is able to offer our rural area!! The pictures show Chad from SpokAnimal and Rhonda from ARF offloading some of the pet food and the other pic is kittens ready to travel to Spokane to find their furever homes. A full double rainbow could be seen at the tail end of a storm over the weekend in the area. The above photo was taken by Savannah Prigge from up toward Cottonwood Butte. Click on the photo for a larger view.

A couple of photos of the old St. Gertrude’s Convent from the early 1900’s, before the current stone Monastery was built. They are shown from the front and the back. The photos are from Gus Hoene’s collection of photos. Click on each photo for a larger view.
