This is Homecoming Week This is Homecoming Week at Prairie High School. Each day this week has a dress-up theme with the classes receiving points for having the most members dress to the theme. Monday was Hawaiian Day. Tuesday was Hillbilly Day. Wednesday is Jersey/Sport Day. Thursday is USA Day and Friday is Spirit Day. The Powderpuff game where the girls play football was played Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. at the football field. The boys volleyball game followed in the Elementary Gym. The Homecoming Parade is set to start near Cottonwood Foods on Friday with set-up at 5:45 and start time at 6 p.m. It will follow the Highway 95 Business Loop until they get to East Street where they will turn and proceed to the football field. In addition to the dress-up day points, each class will earn points for their hall decorations, powderpuff football and volleyball winners, Homecoming floats and the individual dress-up day winners The Homecoming game is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 against Potlatch. Instead of a regular Homecoming Dance after the game there will be a postgame tailgate at the football field with music playing at the field and burgers and hot dogs available for the students. Shelley Schlader will also take pictures for high school groups and high school couples. Jr. High students are welcome to participate but won’t be getting their photos taken by Shelley. |
