| Annie's Project for North Idaho
University of Idaho Extension will present “Annie’s Project” starting on Tuesday, January 19th, at 6 pm. The mission of Annie’s Project is to empower farm/ranch women to be better business operators and/or partners through networks and managing and organizing critical information. Annie’s Project is a six-week course that meets live on Zoom on Tuesdays for three hours each week, from 6 – 9 pm. For more information about Annie’s Project you can watch the YouTube video at this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYFcGdTW7Y4&feature=player_embedded This all-women course fosters problem solving, record keeping, and decision-making skills around five areas of agricultural risk: production, legal, market, human and financial. Women farmers and ranchers attending the course will gain a better understanding of a variety topics such as business planning, market expansion, farm succession and retirement planning, using insurance to mitigate risk and finding and retaining employees. Participants will have ample time to talk with other women producers in the class and build their regional women in ag network. This offering of Annie's Project is open to women in Idaho's ten northern counties: Boundary, Bonner, Shoshone, Kootenai, Benewah, Latah, Clearwater, Nez Perce, Lewis and Idaho. The workshop is sponsored by University of Idaho Extension. The registration fee for the workshop is $60 which includes all workshop materials and at least one Spring 2021 in-person networking event and/or farm walk.
