Pirates win 2 of 3; Youth baseball signups The Prairie baseball team opened their 2021
season by winning 2 of their first 3 games. They lost their opener to
Grangeville 5-15 at Kooskia Tuesday, March 16. On Friday, March 18 they
again traveled to Kooskia where they picked up their first win, 12-2
over C.V. On Monday, March 22 they played Lapwai at Lewiston and won
big, 27-0.

Lady Pirates' game stopped after 6 due to darkness
The Prairie Lady Pirates opened their
softball season with a game at Lapwai that won’t be finished until
April 15 at Cottonwood as it was stopped due to darkness after 6
innings with the score tied at 21-21. . . .

Prairie Community Library was pleased to have the Old Time
Fiddlers John Purdy and Francis Ellsworth entertain the story
hour participants on Tuesday. Carissa Jones, storyteller for the
group plans activities for pre schoolers every week. All children
and their parents are welcome to come every Tuesday at 10:00 am.
