Pirates split 2 league games
The Prairie baseball team played a pair of league home games
this past week, beating Kamiah 13-1 on Thursday, April 15 and then losing to
Genesee 10-20 on Monday, April 19.

Lady Pirates win 5 of 6 games
The Prairie Lady Pirates won 4 home softball games and split
a pair on the road this past week to improve to 7-1 on the season.
On Tuesday, April 13 they won a league game over Nezperce
40-0. On Thursday, April 15, they swept Lapwai 32-22 and 20-5. Finally on
Friday, April 16, they beat Kamiah/CV 25-2. Finally on Monday, April 19, they
traveled to Kendrick and split a doubleheader 13-10 and 10-20.

Matt Coppernoll set a new personal best to win the discus
while Kristin Wemhoff won the 100 meter dash and anchored the girls 4x200 relay

The 2021 State HOSA results are in. Both Prairie HOSA
members scored in the top ten in each category compared to those statewide
which qualified both girls for the National Leadership Conference. Kyliegh
Duclos received 3rd place in Health Career Photography. In addition,
she received 10th place on the Healthcare Issues Exam. Halle Klapprich
received 7th place on the Healthcare Issues Exam. Congratulations to both

Over
50 girls joined Idaho County Fair Royalty: Dani Sonnen, Olivia
Klapprich, and Leann Lightfield for a Princess Tea Party Sunday
afternoon. Donning their own crown and sash, the girls enjoyed
refreshments, princess etiquette lessons, games, a coloring contest,
and a chance to take pictures with the fair royalty. Two winners
from the coloring contest will have the opportunity to join the royalty
on stage at the Idaho County Fair in August. Dani, Olivia, and
Leann would like to thank Prairie Junior-Senior High School for the use
of the cafeteria; their advisor, Joyce Gehing-Sonnen and their mothers,
Heather, Tara, and Julie for all their help. Most especially

Reed Chapman completed his senior project by painting over
the mural in the cafeteria, with a backdrop for pictures and school
spirit! He did a great job over spring break and we appreciate his

The
week before Spring Break the 8th Grade Tech class took a
virtual tour and worked on an activity about cyber crime, sponsored by
Schweitzer engineering. The students had to figure out who the
perpetrator was and send in their answers. The students who
got it
correct were entered into a drawing. Ellie Nuxoll won a gaming
keyboard. Other students
