Hill is named Deputy Warden at NICI
North Idaho Correctional Institution is pleased to announce that Teresa Hill is the new Deputy Warden.
Teresa has a long history of treatment and leadership in the private sector as well as working for the state of Idaho.  Teresa graduated from Lewis Clark State College in 1999 with a bachelor’s in social work and has been a licensed social worker for over 20 years. She has worked in community mental health and was a supervisor for several years.  She worked for the Idaho Youth Challenge Academy, where she was instrumental in helping get that program off the ground.  Teresa has worked at NICI as a case manager since 2014, except when she took a short break to work for child protection services.  Teresa also developed our approach to the pre-release process as well as supporting transitioning to new treatment modalities. Teresa was most recently a Program Manager at NICI.  Teresa is the mother of 3 children and a grandmother to 5 grandchildren.  Teresa is currently seeking her master’s degree in social work.  In her spare time, she enjoys camping, 4-wheeling, playing with her grandkids, and spending time with family and friends. Teresa also just received NICI’s Supervisor of the year!  She was nominated by several staff because she cares about people and takes time to listen and help people.  She also accomplishes any task given to her with great outcomes.  Teresa lives departments values of integrity, respect and positive attitude.
