Photos from the Greencreek 4th of July Celebration The classic Kiddie-Car Merry-Go-Round was still being enjoyed by youngsters whose parents rode it when they were younger. A couple of Andy and Molly Terhaar's girls ride the small merry-go-round. The first run of the barrel train featured a bunch of high school age riders. The more traditional younger group of riders enjoying a train ride. The bouncy house managed to stay upright even with the youngsters leaning against the edges. A group of youngster had a dunk tank. The street sports started with this young group of sprinters. A slightly older group races to the finish line. An early crash in the 3-legged race. The youngster in the blue hat was trying to get to the finish and wouldn't let his partner regain his footing. There were quite a few competitors in this age group of the 3-legged race. One of the younger groups of wheelbarrow racers. Easton Brugeman was able to safely catch the egg this time. This young man wasn't quite as lucky with his egg. Laney Forsmann got egg yolk on her blouse as her egg broke. Madison Shears safely catches her egg which was tossed by her grandpa Joe Kuther. The winning catch for longest toss was made by this young man well out into the field beyond the fence. His partner below wasn't quite as fortunate on the return throw. The younger competitors in the watermelon eating contest. The young man in the red shirt at the top wound up winning this round. Eric Nuxoll, at right in grey shirt, reclaimed his title of watermelon eating champion dethroning his son Sebastian, with the red hair, and Austin Sonnen, behind Sebastian, who were the last two winners. |
