| September activites for Tri-Parish Youth Dear Youth In Christ, The feel of summer is giving way to the cooler days and crisp air as the invitation for Fall speaks words of change and surrender. With this change comes new opportunities as school starts and youth group kicks off a new season. This month we invite you to join us in our activities as seek to grow deeper in faith through conversations, planning, praying, learning, gathering, and having fun. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us as we gather in His holy name. On Sept. 1st I will gather with the “Coffee and Jesus group at the Habit at 3:30. On Friday all youth and parents are invited to an hour of Adoration at St. Mary’s at 10:00 p.m. I truly hope you and your family can make it to this special hour of prayer. On Wednesday, Sept. 8th the Haiti team will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the OMG for a short discussion about upcoming fundraisers and our plans for the future. On Wednesday Sept. 15th we will be having our annual “Back to School” bash at St. Mary’s Church. We will be serving dinner at 6:00 and games and fun will begin at 6:30. I will have registration forms at this event and will answer any questions about Youth Ministry during this time. Please know everyone is invited to this night of community fun. I look forward to this night every year! Catechetical Sunday is Sept. 15th at St. Mary’s at 8:30 a.m. On September 22nd the High School Encounter team who attended the Stanley along with any other high School youth interested in growing in the Holy Spirit are invited to the OMG for pizza at 6:30 and a discussion and planning at 7:00. This group had a major encounter with the Holy Spirit this summer and I would like the youth to continue moving forward in growth and witness. Again, every High School youth is welcome and encouraged to attend! I am asking my Adult Confirmation team to meet with me to plan our October Confirmation retreat and Blessing Rite. We will meet at the Habit at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27th. Thank you all for your willingness to serve on this team and I look forward to another grace filled year. Confirmation sign-up sheets will be available in all Church’s for the High School youth who want to get Confirmed in the Spring. You must be a Freshman or older to get Confirmed. A Junior High Faith night is planned for Sept. 29th at the OMG. We will have food at 6:30 and our session will begin at 7:00. I will be leaving for Boise to attend the CEC conference on Thursday Sept. 30th and will return on Sunday Oct. 3rd. Please note that we will be having our 30 Hour Fast on Oct. 9th and 10th. I will have more details in the bulletin as the time approaches. High School youth please mark your calendar. The cost of the retreat is $35.00 and you must fill out paperwork to attend. I will have them available around the middle of September. Lord let this new season bring with it an openness to growth as we step forward to know you in a deeper way.
