School Board meets
Alica Holthaus, former Cottonwood
resident and currently superintendent at St. Maries Joint School
District, is the recipient of the 2022 District Leadership Award from
the Idaho School Superintendents Association (ISSA).
Holthaus has been in school administration for the past 14 years and prior to that was an elementary and middle school teacher for 20 years. She taught 2 years of 6th grade at Kimberly, Idaho, 2 years of third grade at Payette, Idaho and her final 16 years in the classroom were at Prairie Middle School in Cottonwood. Her first administrative position was Clearwater Valley Elementary principal for 2 years. She transferred to Grangeville Elementary/Middle School for 5 years. She then spent 2 years in Troy, Mo. Where she was the principal at Main Street Elementary before returning to Idaho where she took the Superintendent position at St. Maries. She and her husband Roger have 3 children, all of whom graduated from Prairie High School in Cottonwood, as did both Alica and Roger. Alica Holthaus, superintendent, St. Maries School District. |
