December events for Tri-Parish Youth Group Dear Youth, Happy Advent! You are invited into the beautiful season of Advent where wonder and awe fill the air as preparations are made for coming of a tiny baby in a manger who will change the world. During the month of December, we will gather together to get our hearts set for the beautiful season of Christmas. I would love for you to join us as we pray, plan, write, confess, sing, decorate, learn, and celebrate. We will start the month off with an invitation to Adoration on Friday, December 3rd at St. Mary’s Church. This time with Jesus is a perfect way to begin your Advent season, and a reminder to the Confirmation youth this is an invitation to complete your challenge points before class on Dec. 5th. On Dec. 5th the Confirmation youth and adult team will meet at 10:00 a.m. in the back of St. Mary’s Church for class. Youth, please remember to bring your folder. Your Bibles are in and will be handed out Sunday so if you have not paid your $45.00, please bring it to class. Thank you so much! On Dec. 6th I am inviting all High School youth to help write out Christmas cards for all of the College students. Snacks will be provided. We will not have youth group on Wednesday, Dec. 8th because it is a holy day, so please remember to go to Mass. Happy Immaculate Conception Day! On Dec. 11th the High School are invited and encouraged to help decorate the float for the light parade. We will meet at the city shed at 10:00 a.m. and decorate until 2:00 p.m. Please bring a string of lights if you have extra! Pizza and pop will be provided for lunch. Please talk to your friends and let’s make this a fun holiday experience. We will be riding the float on Dec. 12th. Please meet at my office at 3:30 to get dressed for the parade. The parade begins at 4:30. Also, I NEED HELP UNDECORATING THE FLOAT. PLEASE ASK YOUR FAMILY IF THEY CAN HELP UNDECORATE. ALL HELP IS APPRECITATED AND NEEDED. WE WILL BE AT THE CITY SHED AFTER THE PARADE! Our Second High School Encounter Group is invited to the OMG for an information class on Dec. 13th. Please join us for this night if you are interested in growing in the Holy Spirit. The class size will be no larger than 10 people. We will have food at 6:30 and meet until 8:30. If you have questions, please contact me! On the night of the 15th the Confirmation youth are invited to Ferdinand for Adoration and Reconciliation at 5:00 p.m. Father Paul and Father Meinrad will be available for the Sacrament of Confession. Participation in this beautiful Sacrament sets you on a perfect path as you continue your Confirmation journey. On Dec. 19th, all young people including College age students will be decorating a tree at the 10:30 Mass in Greencreek. I am working on a night of caroling for Jr. High and High school and will let you know when and where. I will be gone from Dec. 27th to 29th for a basketball tournament with my grandson. Our college gathering for students’ will take place January 5th for any college students who are still home. We will meet at the Habit from 6:30 to 8:30. Snacks and drinks will be provided!
