Alumni games are held
PIRATES BOYS BASKETBALL SCHEDULE FOR 2021-22
The Prairie Alumni Basketball Games were held Monday, Dec. 27 at the PHS Gym. In the women’s game the team of Lori Mader, Kayla Schumacher, Lisa Rehder Ellis, Shelley Wren Schlader, Ellea Uhlenkott and Renee Arnzen Rehder won 56-44. Julie Wren Schumacher, Krystin Uhlenkott Schlader, Hope Schwartz, Rachel Rehder Gibney, Leah Higgins, Angela Wemhoff and Ciara Chaffee made up the other team. In the men’s game the winning team had Jake Bruner, Tanner Ross, Ryan Glimp, Neil Bruegeman, Jon Rehder, Rhett Schlader and Glenn Poxleitner. They won 94-91, hanging on after leading by 17, 55-38, at halftime. The losing team featured Brandon Higgins, Damian Forsmann, Cole Schlader, Devin Ross, Dylan Schumacher, Adam Forsmann and Bryson Higgins.  Brandon Higgins shoots. Also shown is Jim Rehder who volunteered to be the referee.  Devin Ross sank several long 3's that combined with Brandon Higgins driving for lay-ups helped their team almost erase a 17 point halftime deficit.  The Schlader boys weren't the only brothers on opposing teams. Tanner Ross, with the ball, and his brother Devin, far left, also were on opposing teams. In between are Rhett Schlader and Dylan Schumacher.  Jake Bruner, now that he has used his college eligibility, was able to finally play in an alumni game.
