Ski Skoop Escape to the Cottonwood Butte Ski Area on Friday, December 31st for a New Year’s Eve night full of skiing and snowboarding. With the total of 25 inches of snow at the base of the hill and a well-prepared lodge that has just recovered from a long power outage, we are planning on opening for a New Year’s Eve special with skiing from 6pm to 10pm. We will also be open with normal day time hours from 10am to 4pm both Saturday and Sunday, January 1st and 2nd. We are hoping to stay open through the next few months with normal daytime hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and most major holidays, New Year’s Day, Civil Rights Day, and President’s Day. We will also be open one Friday night every month from 6pm to 10pm. As of now we are planning December 31st, January 21st, February 11th, and March 4th. Full day tickets are $20, half day tickets, starting at 1 p.m., are $14, and nighttime tickets are $14. Children 4 years and younger are free and there are military discounts with a proper ID. If you wish to buy a punch card for the family, some friends, or an individual, the five-day punch card is $85 and the ten-day punch card is $160. These carry on from one year to the next and never expire. They can be used for tickets, rentals, or both. A full ski rental includes boots, skis, and poles and costs $16. A full boarding rental includes a board and boots and costs $27. There are multiple variations of each of these. And don’t worry, we also offer a lunch booth and a warm lodge with a good view of the hill.
