Lady Pirates finish 2nd at State
The Prairie Lady Pirates are gathering quite a collection of red State trophies as for the 7th
time in the last 8 years, they brought home the second place trophy
from the state tournament. They opened the tournament with a 65-28 win
over Notus on Thursday, Feb. 17. On Friday, Feb. 18, they knocked off
undefeated Butte County 56-37. Both of those games were at Columbia
High School in Nampa and both were all-Pirates matchups. Maybe if
Lapwai was also the Pirates, Prairie might have prevailed. In the
championship game Saturday at the Idaho Center in Nampa, Prairie lost
37-63.
