April events for Tri-Parish Youth Dear Youth, The month of April is finally upon on which hopefully brings with it the warmth of the sun and the feeling of Spring. We are all so ready for a season of newness. It has truly been a long winter. What is great through is that we are guaranteed the hope of newness, as this month we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, where death is truly conquered, and hope is made manifest. What a great promise we have in Jesus! We begin this month with Spring break; hence everyone is invited to enjoy time outdoors with your family and friends. I will not schedule any youth group activities during this week because I will be enjoying family time as well. What a wonderful time Spring invites us into! On April 8th all of you are invited to an hour of Adoration at St. Mary’s from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. I invite you to spend some time with the Lord as we prepare for his resurrection and promise of hope. I invite you to sit in the quiet of his heart and embrace the love he poured down on you from the cross. Adoration is such a beautiful sacred time. On April 9th, the Jr. High youth will be heading to a mini retreat at St. Peter and Paul’s Church from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. I am currently working on the details. I do know the youth will attend Mass, have dinner, and then engage in faith filled activities. I am working on getting drivers, so if you are interested In bringing the youth, please contact me at 208 553 5837. I have forms that the youth will need to fill out, which can be picked up at St. John Bosco or from me at the High School Release Time. Please let me know by April 6th if you are attending so I have enough drivers. On April 10th, the Confirmation youth will be attending a retreat at St. Mary’s from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The retreat will begin with breakfast with the sponsors, so youth please remember to invite your sponsors to this retreat day. The Sponsors are invited to spend the entire time with us as we go to confession, attend Adoration, review sponsor responsibilities, create a mosaic project, pray over each other and practice for the Confirmation liturgy! This will be a very blessed day as we prepare for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on April 27th. On April 13th, the High School youth are invited to the Habit for a night of planning for a Jr. High Faith Night. We will start at 7:00 p.m. Please tell your friends. Coffee will be provided! Please remember to attend the holy week services on Thursday, Friday, and Holy Saturday. Enjoy your time with your family on Easter Sunday, April 17th. Praise the Lord for his life, death, and resurrection which brings each and everyone of us to new life! On April 20th we will have our Jr. High Night at the OMG. This night will be hosted by the High School youth. We will start our time together at 6:30 with food. Our session will begin at 7:00. I would like the High School youth to come early, at 5:30 to set up. This will be a great night of fun! We hope you can attend! The Coffee and Jesus group will meet at the Habit at 3:30 on April 25th . On April 27th the Confirmation candidates will be celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s. I would like all candidates to arrive at 6:30 for pictures with the Bishop. Please remember to bring your picture forms.
