Lady Pirates edged by Pomeroy
That was their final game before Spring Break. Prairie scored 6 runs in the top of the first inning and held the lead until the bottom of the sixth. Prairie added single runs in the third, sixth and seventh. Pomeroy scored 2 in the bottom of the first, 1 in the third, 2 in the fourth and 1 in the fifth to cut the lead to 7-6. Prairie took advantage of walks and 9 Pomeroy errors to score their runs as their only hit of the game was a triple by Laney Forsmann. Mackenzie Key pitched all 6 innings for Prairie allowing 10 hits and 11 runs. Prairie is now 1-2 on the season.
