Lockett named Mother of the Year Following is the essay written by Kaylie Lockett that earned her mother Cassi the Mother of the Year award at the Mother Daughter Tea. M. M is for all the memories my mother and I have made together and the ones in our future. We have countless memories together, that I wouldn’t give up for anything. One memory that will always be one of my favorites is when we went prom dress shopping for my sister and we had to stay in a sketchy hotel. Even though we were scared for our lives I still had a good time because you were with me. I love you. O. O is for all the opportunities she has given to me. I am so very fortunate to have a mother who is always trying to make sure I have every opportunity to accomplish my dreams, and succeed as a person. My mother has been looking out for me since day one and I am forever grateful. I love you. T. T is for how much I trust my mother. I could tell my mom anything and I know she wouldn’t tell a single soul if I asked her not to. I trust her with every inch of my heart. I trust her with my life, and I will never stop trusting her. I love you. H. H is for how happy my mom always is. She may be having the worst day ever but she doesn’t fail to still try to be in a good mood and spend time with me. My mother is the kindest person I have ever met. She always sees the good in people, and is always nice to everyone even if they don’t deserve it. I strive to be like her in this way. I love you. E. E is for how encouraging my mother is. She always tries to make sure that I succeed in whatever I may be doing. She does this by cheering for me in the stands, and giving me pep talks before I leave to go hunting in the early mornings. She is the reason I am successful in what I do. I love you. R. R is for the reliability my mom possesses. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I couldn't rely on my mother to keep my life straight. She makes sure I’m doing well in school, sports, and life. She is also the one person I can always rely on if I need to talk to someone. I love you, Mom! Kaylie Mother of the Year Cassi Lockett with her daughter Kaylie.
