| January events for Tri-Parish Youth Dear Youth in Christ, The New Year always sparks resolutions and intentions of change. It opens the door for becoming better and seeking a new path for ourselves. This invitation also has to do with our spiritual lives as we seek to grow closer to God in new and different ways. Our January youth events and activities provide opportunities for your spirit to flourish through retreat, prayer, service, fun, and study. Please join us in this New Year and know your presence is very valued, by your friends, peers, leaders and especially by God! We began the month with our High School Jesus and Coffee group meeting at 3:30 at the Habit. On Jan. 6th everyone was invited to Adoration at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s. All youth and adults were invited to begin the New Year with some quiet time with the Lord. On Oct. 8th the Confirmation group met at St. Mary’s Church for class. On Jan. 9th the High School and Jr. High Group were invited to dinner and a white elephant gift exchange at St. Mary’s Church. On Jan. 11th the Encounter group will meet at St. Mary’s. at 7:00 p.m. Our topic will be Healing of Relationships with the Trinity and family! If you are in High School and would like to join us, please contact me. (This is a very intentional group that goes deep in conversation and the Holy Spirit). On January 13th our God Squad group will leave for Lewiston at 3:30 to begin training for ICYC leadership activities. We will be at All Saints until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Currently we have 8 youth going with a possibly of more. Thank you, Tara Klapprich, for your help and leadership on this weekend. I am in need of snacks so if anyone would like to donate cookies, chips or other snacks I would greatly appreciate it! On Jan. 18th we will have a High School faith night at St. Mary’s. Our night will begin at 6:30 with food and our faith session will begin at 7:00 p.m. All High School youth are invited. On January 22nd the Confirmation class will meet at St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m. Please remember that your saint reports are due on this Sunday! On January 23rd I will be hosting a Safe Environment class at St. Mary’s Church at 7:00 p.m. Anyone who needs to renew their safe environment certificate is invited to attend. If you plan on chaperoning for ICYC please attend this renewal class. Thank you, I really appreciate your help and willingness to chaperone! Jr. High Faith night is on Jan. 25th at St. Mary’s Church beginning at 6:30 with food. Our faith session will begin at 7:00 p.m. All Jr. High youth are invited! On January 30th the 2023 Jamaica team will meet at the Habit at 7:00 p.m. or an information and planning night. The New Year brings many blessings and hope as we step toward God’s calling in our lives.
