Prairie Booster Club offers scholarships
The Prairie Booster Club will sponsor three
- $300 SCHOLARSHIPS to provide graduates of Prairie High School
recognition and financial support in pursuit of a post-secondary
academic or vocational education. Graduate’s
family must be a current Prairie Booster Club member (membership dues
paid) and the qualities of leadership, civic involvement, respect of
others, volunteer activities, extra-curricular participation, academic
achievement, and work ethic will be considered. One Prairie High School graduate will be awarded a $300 “Maurice Shinn Sportsmanship Scholarship” by writing a 500-word theme on SPORTSMANSHIP. What sportsmanship means to you and how you have demonstrated sportsmanship through your high school years either as an athlete or a fan. This scholarship is open to all graduating seniors of Prairie High School who plan to attend a college or university in the fall and whose family is a current Prairie Booster Club member (membership dues paid). Applications can be picked up at the counselor’s office at Prairie High School. Application deadline is the third Monday of April.
