Lady Pirates to host District opener
The Prairie Lady Pirates will open District Tournament play next Wednesday, Feb. 1.
. The first round games will all be played starting at 6 p.m. at the higher seed’s gym. Prairie, currently sitting in 2nd place with 3 league games to play would most likely be hosting a first round game. It would appear their most likely opponent would be either C.V. or Troy. The rest of the tournament will be played at the Lewiston High School gym. Second round play starts Saturday, Feb. 4 with loser out games at 3 and 4:30 p.m. and winners bracket games at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Two loser out games are set for Monday, Feb. 6 at 6:30 and 8 p.m. Another loser out game is schedule for Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. followed by the District Championship game at 7:30 p.m. The loser of the District Championship game will play the winner of the earlier game on Wednesday at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9 for second place and a trip to State. Only 2 teams advance to state this year from District 2. State will be at Columbia High School in Nampa on Feb. 16-18. The St. John Bosco girls won’t open District play until Friday, Feb. 3. We will have information on that tournament next week.
