Prairie wrestlers Holli Schumacher and Morgan Pack competed at the North-South Duals at Clearwater Valley High School in Kooskia on Jan. 27-28.
Schumacher actually competed with the St. Maries team in the 120 lb. weight class. This was done with several wrestlers to give them more opportunity to wrestle. She went 2-2 in actual matches, all against boys, in the tournament. She lost by pin in 3:09 to Treagan Harris of Ririe. She then won by pin over Razi Manzer of Melba in 51 seconds. She won by pin in 45 seconds over Austin Houchins of Salmon. She also lost by pin in 2:29 to Hunter Gamble of Orofino. She won 3 other matches by forfeit.
Pack competed with Grangeville in the 132 lb. weight class. She won 2 matches by forfeit but lost all 7 matches she actually got to wrestle in. She lost by pin in 30 seconds to Alex Norton of the Lewiston JV. She lost by pin in 45 seconds to Hunter Clark of Melba. She lost by pin in 42 seconds to T.J. Smith of Salmon. She lost by pin in 2:48 to Keegan Robeson of C.V. She lost by pin in 40 seconds to Carley Rollins of Tri-Valley, the only girl she got to wrestle. She lost by pin in 44 seconds to Ashtyn Crapo of Ririe. She lost by pin in 25 seconds to Benjamin Johnson of Potlatch.
