Girls District opener vs. Highland

As the higher seed, SJB was the home team even though they played at Craigmont.
The first quarter went much like game one earlier in the week. Highland scored the first 5 points of the game. After a Highland basket, SJB scored the next 6 to take an 11-2 lead by the end of the quarter.
Waters got Highland going with 8 points in the quarter. Wassmuth scored 2 and Palmer 1.
SKB went to a full-court press to force 10 Highland turnovers several of which were converted into points.
In the second quarter the Patriots went ice-cold from the field, going 0 for 16 and scoring only 2 free throws. Waters sank both free throws to open the scoring in the quarter and give SJB a 13-2 lead. Highland scored the next 4 points to cut the margin to 13-6 at the half.
SJB came out in their press again in the third quarter and forced 13 more Highland turnovers. They also found their shooting touch again as they hit 7 of 13 from the field.
Palmer scored 6 in the quarter while Waters scored 4 and Wassmuth and Chmelik 2 each as highland took a 30-8 lead into the fourth quarter.

Boys vs. Timberline
In a battle for the #3 seed going into District the Patriots took a 17-9 lead by the end of the first quarter then saw the Spartans outscore them in each successive quarter.
Timberline lead early at 4-7 but SJB then went on a 13-0 scoring run. Cody Wassmuth hit back-to-back shots then Chmelik scored 9 straight points. He converted a 3-pont play then hit back-to-back 3-point shots to give the Patriots a 17-7 lead.
