Prairie’s two wrestlers competed at the Girls District 1-2 tournament at Moscow High School on Friday, Feb. 17.
Holli Schumacher, competing in the 120 lb. weight bracket, won her first match by injury default over Emma Garman of Sandpoint. In the Semifinals she lost by pin in 2:14 to undefeated Skyla Zimmerman of Moscow. In the consolation semifinal she won by pin in 55 seconds over Maddison White of Kellogg. In the consolation final she lost by in in 5:00 to Shelby Prather of Potlatch to finish in 4th place.
Morgan Pack competed in the 132 lb. weight bracket and was eliminated in two matches. She lost by pin in 1:05 to Rylie Hancock of Sandpoint in her opening round match. She then lost by pin in 2:53 to Megan Myers of Clearwater Valley.
Only the top 3 finishers in each weight class advanced to the State Wrestling meet.
Schumacher ends her senior season with a record of 38-21.
Pack, a sophomore, ends her first season of high school wrestling with a record of 7-33.
