Boys and girls both win team titles The Prairie Track team opened their season with team titles in both the boys and girls competitions at the Small School Invitational Track Meet at Kamiah Saturday, March 18. Trenton Lorentz in his first track meet after having played baseball last year, won all 4 events he entered. He won the 100 meter dash in 11.63, the 200 meter dash in 24.14, the long jump at 19’0” and teamed up with Noah Geis, Matt Wemhoff and Shane Hanson to win the 4x100 relay in 47.14. On the girls side Kristin Wemhoff won 3 events as she won the 100 meter dash in 13.06 and the 200 in 27.23, both times edging out Highland’s Kadence Beck who had won all their matchups last year. Wemhoff was 2nd to Beck in the 400 in 1:01.45 and anchored the 4x100 team of Alli Geis, Julia Rehder and Sydney Shears to a win in 54.23. Hanson won the discus with a mark of 139’9”. He was second in the high jump at 5’8” and 4th in the shot put at 37’11”. Sage Elven won the discus at 112’8”. She was also fourth in the shot put at 28’5”. Shears won the girls high jump at 4’11”. In other girls results: Tara Schlader was 2nd in the discus at 98’9”, 2nd in the 800 at 2:55.30 and 5th in the 100 in 14.68. Alli Geis was 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 58.83. Rehder was 2nd in the long jump at 13’10.5”. Elizabeth Severns was 4th in the discus at 91’5”, 5th in the 800 in 3:14.37, 5th in the 1600 in 7:40.47 and 6th in the shot at 26’1”. Callie Remacle was 4th in the 300 hurdles in 1:01.53, 4th in the 1600 in 7:33.20, 5th in the 100 hurdles in 21.51 and 5th in the high jump at 4’2”. Sierra Oliver was 4th in the 100 at 14.46, 4th in the 200 in 30.50 and 4th in the 400 in 1:09.71. Lexi Schumacher was 5th in 200 in 30.75 and 6th in the long jump at 12’0”. Sarah Lustig was 5th in the discus at 86’6” and 12th in the shot put at 22’0”. Aubree Rehder was 6th in the 100 in 15.09 and 11th in the 200 at 32.42. Avery Riener was 6th in the 200 in 31.21, 8th in the 100 in 15.24 and 8th in the 400 in 1:14.72. Lacey Schwartz was 7th in the 100 in 15.13, 9th in the 200 in 31.86 and 10th in the 400 in 1:16.38. Breanne Schwartz was 9th in the 400 in 1:15.84, 10th in the 100 in 15.36 and 12th in the 200 in 32.84. Hailey Hanson was 9th in the shot put at 22’6” and 12th in the discus at 73’10”. Harlee Brannan was 10th in the discus at 76’1” and 15th in the shot at 20’11”. Meghan Fowler was 11th in the discus at 75’0” and 17th in the shot at 19’6”. Carmen Ove was 12th in the 400 in 1:28.26, 14th in the long jump at 7’2”, 17th in the 200 in 37.0 and 19th in the 100 in 16.69. In addition to the 4x100 relay mentioned earlier, Prairie had 3 other relays finish in first place. The 4x200 team of Geis, Shears, Aubree Rehder and Julia Rehder was 1st in 1:56.86. The 4x400 team of Elven, Shears, Schumacher and Geis was 1st in 4:46.97 and the medley relay team of Aubree Rehder, Schumacher, Julia Rehder and Schlader was 1st in 2:11.27. Prairie also had a second 4x200 team of Riener, Breanne Schwartz, Lacey Schwartz and Oliver that placed 2nd in 2:01.04 and a second 4x100 team of Brannan, Fowler, Hanson and Lustig, a thrower’s relay if you will, that placed 5th in 1:01.96. As a team the girls totaled 197 pts. easily defeating runner-up Kamiah who had 120 pts. Other boys results: Noah Geis was 2nd in the 400 in 56.34 and 4th in the 100 in 11;85. Bennie Elven was 2nd in the discus at 126’3” and 7th in the shot put at 31’4”. Briggs Rambo was 2ndin the 110 hurdles in 22.27, 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 24.89 and 8th in the long jump at 15’3”. Dylan Forsmann was 3rd in the 110 hurdles in 24.89, 20th in the 200 in 29.51 and 24th in the 100 in 14.51. Ben Secrest was 3rd in the 400 in 56.89, 5th in the high jump at 5’0” and 9th in the 100 in 12.50. Matt Wemhoff was 4th in the pole vault at 8’6” and 6th in the 400 in 59.31. Chase VonBargen was 4th in the 1600 in 5:37.11 and 7th in the 800 in 2:31.49. Caden Armbrust was 5th in the 800 in 2:27.79 and 15th in the 200 in 27.98. Cole Duclos was 8th in the 800 in 2:31.70, 11th in the 200 in 27.98 and 13th in the 100 in 13.23. Nate Forsmann was 10th in the shot put at 27’9”, 12th in the discus at 78’2” and 27th in the 200 in 32.25. Landon Riener was 12th in 1600 in 6:59.49 and 14th in the 800 in 2:52.37. Jackson Enneking was 15th in the 100 in 13.28 and 18th in the 200 in 28.28. Peter Remacle was 17th in the shot put at 20’3”, 19th in the discus at 52.’3” and 28th in the 200 in 37.70. The 4x400 relay team of Wemhoff, Duclos, Secrest and Geis was 1st in 3:51.72. A second 4x400 team of Armbrust, Enneking, Elven and Forsmann was 4th in 4:21.12. The 4x200 team of Armbrust, Enneking, Elven and Rambo was 4th in 1:47.16. As a team the boys scored 152 points, 10 ahead of 2nd place Kamiah. Kristin Wemhoff edges Highland's Kadence Beck in the 100 meter dash. She also beat her in the 200 before losing in the 400 meter dash. Sage Elven won the discus with a toss of over 112 feet. Sydney Shears easily clears an early height and went on to take first place in the girls high jump at 4'11". Shane Hanson in the high jump where he took second place at 5'8". Alli Geis in the 300 hurdles. Aubree Rehder is about to hand off to Julia Rehder for the final lefg of the girls 4x200 relay which was won by Prairie. Bennie Elven in the shot put.
