Talley to judge art show Central Idaho Art Association’s (CIAA) announces its 54th Spring Art Show and Sale for: Thursday—April
20 (9:00am – 5:00pm), Friday—April 21 (9:00am – 7pm), and
Saturday—April 22 (10:00am 4:00pm). Show venue is the SUPER 8 Hotel,
conference room: 801 S W 1st
St/Hwy 95, Grangeville. Friday evening, April 21, is a complimentary
Special Appetizer Buffet from 5:00pm to 7:00pm; Raffle Ticket winner
announcements will also take place then. This year’s Spring Art Show judge is Gordon Talley. Mr. Talley is a lifelong artist who works in a variety of media, with emphasis in printmaking and oil pastels. His professional work includes creating intaglio prints, linocuts and woodcuts. He also is a professional picture framer and has framed for some of the country’s top art museums. He frequently performs as a musician with Idaho County band, Missing Parts. A longtime Grangeville resident, he sometimes collaborates on projects with his wife, writer Rebecca Bailey. Talley has held residencies at Channel Islands National Park and Arches National Park.
