Track team competes at two meets
The Prairie Track team took part in two meets last week. On Tuesday, March 21, part of the team competed at a 9 school meet in Kamiah. On Thursday, March 23, the rest of the team competed at the Lewiston Invitational which featured 22 schools ranging in size from 1A to 5A.
Kamiah meet
At the Kamiah meet Callie Remacle was the only first place finisher for Prairie as she finished first in the high jump with a personal best mark of 4’9”. She also placed 4th in the 1600 in 6:58.39.
For the boys team the top finishers were Lee Forsmann who placed 2nd in the discus at 120’9” and Briggs Rambo who placed 2nd in the 110 hurdles in 22.46.
In other girls results Lacey Schwartz placed 2nd in the 400 in 1:14.80, 6th in the 200 in 31.31 and 13th in the 100 in 15.66.
Breanne Schwartz placed 4th in the 400 in 1:16.09, 10th in the 200 in 32.62 and 15th in the 100 in 15.71.
Avery Riener finished 5th in the 200 in 31.12 and 10th in the 100 in 15.41.
Hailey Hanson was 6th in the discus in 83’2”, 14th in the shot at 24’10.25” and 9th in the 200 in 31.43.
Carmen Ove was 6th in the 400 in 1:30.07, 15th in the long jump at 5’11”, 16th in the 200 in 37.19 and 23rd in the 100 in 16.95.
Harlee Brannan was 9th in the discus at 78’3”, 12th in the 200 in 32.81 and 22nd in the shot at 20’8.5”.
Sarah Lustig was 12th in the discus at 74’7”, 15th in the 200 in 34.78 and 16th in the shot at 24’4.75”.
Meghan Fowler was 15th in the discus at 66’7.5”, 17th in the 200 in 37.31 and 25th in the shot at 18’10.75”.
The 4x200 team of Remacle, Riener, Breanne Schwartz and Lacey Schwartz placed 2nd in 2:05.05.
As a team the girls placed 4th with 49 points.
In other boys results Lee Forsmann also placed 3rd in the 400 in 59.13 and 12th in the 100 in 12.90.
Rambo also placed 4th in the 300 hurdles in 51.18 and 19th in the long jump at 13’11.5”.
Dylan Forsmann placed 3rd in the 110 hurdles in 24.11, 20th in the 200 in 30.19 and 23rd in the 100 in 14.31.
Chase Vonbargen placed 4th in the 3200 in 11:32.79 and 5th in the 1600 in 5:39.49.
Caden Armbrust placed 5th in the 1600 in 6:01.70 and 7th in the 800 in 2:35.92.
Cole Duclos placed 9th in the 200 in 27.06 and 13th in the 100 in 13.09.
Jackson Enneking placed 8th in the 400 in 1:01.61, 13th in the 200 in 27.93 and 16th in the 100 in 13.41.
Zane Uptmor placed 9th in the 400 in 1:04.12, 11th in the discus at 86’11” and 15th in the 100 in 13.11.
Nate Forsmann placed 11th in the shot at 26’5”, 15th in the discus at 77’2” and 22nd in the 200 in 32.34.
Landon Riener placed 11th in the 800 in 2:57.17 and 13th in the 1600 in 7:05.39.
Peter Remacle placed 17th in the discus at 70’2”, 19th in the shot at 20’9” and 24th in the 200 at 37.18.
The 4x100 relay team of Enneking, Duclos, Uptmor and Lee Forsmann placed 3rd in 51.05.
The 4x200 relay team of Armbrust, Duclos, Dylan Forsmann and Rambo placed 3rd in 1:49.16.
As a team the boys placed 5th with 57 points.
Lewiston Invitational
Kristin Wemhoff was the lone first place finisher with a first in the 400 in a personal best 59.44. She also placed 2nd in the 200 in 26.61. Kristin Wemhoff, right, won the 400 meter dash at the Lewiston Invitational in a personal best time of 59.44. The school record is 59.0.
The top boys finisher was Shane Hanson who placed 2nd in the discus at 144’3”. He was also 11th in the shot put at 38’6.5”.
In other girls results Sage Elven was third in the discus with a personal best of 119’0” and 15th in the shot put at 28’5.5”.
Julia Rehder was 6th in the long jump at 14’9.75”.
Tara Schlader was 13th in this discus at 90’1” and 16th in the 800 in 2:49.95.
Elizabeth Severns was 16th in the discus at 86’7”, 25th in the shot at 23’5.5” and 25th in the 800 in 3:06.79.
Sierra Oliver was 15th in the 400 in 1:09.83.
Lexi Schumacher was 16th in the long jump at 13’2”, 20th in the 200 in 30.81 and 21st in the 100 in 14.92.
Aubree Rehder was 22nd in the 100 in 14.99, 24th in the 200 in 31.35 and 25th in the 400 in 1:13.32.
The 4x200 relay team of Alli Geis, Oliver, Schumacher and Julia Rehder was 4th in the 1:57.20.
The 4x400 team of Geis, Oliver, Elven and Wemhoff placed 8th in 4:33.95.
The 4x100 team of Geis, Oliver, Julia Rehder and Wemhoff was 12th in 58.58 and had a disastrous 2nd handoff that set them back in the pack.
In other boys results Bennie Elven was 4th in the discus with a mark of 135’2”.
Trenton Lorentz was 4th in the long jump with a mark of 19’9.5”, 7th in the 200 in 24.39 and 11th in the 100 in 12.07.
Noah Geis was 9th in the 200 in 24.58 and 12th in the 400 in 55.16.
Lee Forsmann was 10th in the discus at 119’6”.
Ben Secrest was 14th in the 400 in 56.21 and 26th in the 200 in 26.43.
The 4x100 team of Matt Wemhoff, Geis, Hanson and Lorentz was 7th in 47.30.
The 4x200 team of Lee Forsmann, Secrest, Wemhoff and Elven was 9th in 1:41.97.
The 4x400 team of Wemhoff, Lee Forsmann, Secrest and Geis was 9th in 3:55.06.
