April events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ, With the month of April, we enter the most sacred time of year and are given the opportunity to respond with hope. Easter brings with it the joy of resurrection and new beginnings as death is conquered and life becomes new. As youth you are invited to join in the hope of Easter as we gather together in the name of the risen Lord to pray, learn, retreat, laugh, plan, and rejoice. We begin the month of April with our Confirmation class meeting after Mass on April 2nd at St. Mary’s Church. Please remember to complete your challenge question and hand in your Christian Service project. This will be our last official class. Thank you to all of the parents who have so graciously provided us with breakfast. It has been such a blessing for all of us! On April 3rd our “Coffee and Jesus” group will meet at 3:30 at the Habit. All High School youth are invited. On April 5th the Adult Confirmation team is invited to meet at the Habit at 7:00 p.m. to plan our Confirmation retreat. I appreciate all of you so much and thank you for your commitment to being a table leader this year. (Charlene and Joe Rehder, Gabie Rehder, Emmett Wilson, Jim Chmelik, Kevin Karel, and Stacie Dinning) What a blessing you are! Happy Easter Tridium on April 6th, 7th, 8th,and 9th. Check the bulletin for Mass times on these very special and holy days! Happy Easter everyone! On April 12th all Jr. High and High School youth are invited to a social at St. Mary’s Church at 7:00 p.m. We will be gathered around the fire pit and roast smores for a time of Easter celebration. I am asking everyone to please bring a dessert to share. On April 16th the youth and their sponsors will gather after Mass for breakfast and begin their retreat. The retreat will include breakfast. We will also practice for the Confirmation liturgy during our time together. The retreat will end at 1:15 p.m. If a youth has a sponsor from out of town and cannot make it, a parent can step in their place for the day. Confirmation will take place on May 8th at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s. On April 19th the High School youth are invited to a faith filled Scavenger Hunt. We will begin the night at the OMG at 6:30 with food. The teams will be divided and the competition will begin at 7:00 p.m. I am in need of adult drivers for this night of holy fun! Prizes will be awarded! Please let me know if you are able to drive! Our Jamaica team is heading for Jamaica on June 6th through June 19th. We will meet on April 24th to continue planning. All team members are invited to the Habit at 7:00 p.m. as we finalize our plans. Thank you to all of you who supported us on this journey of mission. We are all so excited and ready to go! Please hold us in your prayers as well as the brothers who run the Missionary of the Poor. We will have a Junior High Faith Night at the OMG on April 26th beginning at 6:30 with food, followed by our session. All Jr. High youth are invited! Rejoice again I say rejoice!
