Secure Rural Schools payments announced for Idaho
U.S. Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch (both R-Idaho), along with
Representative Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) and Idaho State Treasurer Julie
Ellsworth announced Idaho counties will receive a total of $26.9
million in payments for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 under the Secure Rural

Pirates sweep Genesee
The Prairie baseball team swept a
doubleheader at Genesee Friday, April 14, winning 18-2 and 16-5. The
first game ended after 3 innings on the 15-run mercy rule and the
second game ended after 5 innings on the 10-run mercy rule.

Chloe Rowland was the
recipient of the Lewis Clark Valley Chamber of Commerce 2023
Agricultural Committee Essay Scholarship. To be eligible for the
scholarship students must have been a member of the Future Farmers of
America (FFA) or 4-H during your youth, or have significant
work-related experience in agriculture. Chloe was unable to read her
essay at the banquet because she was in Pocatello for state HOSA
leadership conference. She recorded it and they played it at the
event. On Thursday, April 13, Chloe was able to meet with Jack
Kemp, Rogers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram General Manager and Blake
Harrington, LC Valley Chamber of Commerce manager to thank them and
