Shears, Lorentz each win 4 events at Prairie Meet
The Prairie track team competed at two meets this past week. On Tuesday, April 25 they competed at the first of two Prairie Invitational Meets at Cottonwood and on Friday, April 28, part of the team competed at a 10-team meet at Kamiah.
Prairie Meet
Sydney Shears won 4 events at the Prairie Meet as she took first in the 800 in 2:29.86, 1st in the 1600 in 6:03.21, 1st in the high jump at 4’10” and anchored the winning 4x400 Sydney Shears comes down the final stretch to win the 1600 at the Prairie Meet as coach Ryan Hasselstrom watches.relay with Alli Geis, Sierra Oliver and Avery Riener in 4:29.97.
Trenton Lorentz also won 4 events, 2 individual and 2 relays. He was 1st in the long jump at 19’6½” and 1st in the 200 in 23.37. He anchored the winning 4x200 relay with Bennie Elven, Noah Geis and Ben Secrest in 1:37.23 and teamed up with the same 3 runners to win the 4x400 in 3:45.19.
Geis won 3 events as he won the 100 meter dash in 11.80 to go with the two relays and was 3rd in the 200 in 24.49. He had PRs in both the 100 and 200.
Also winning events were Cole Duclos in the 400 in 59.34 and Lee Forsmann in the discus with a toss of 133’0”. Duclos was also 7th in the pole vault with a personal best of 8’6”. Forsmann was also 5th in the 100 in 12.59.
Other girls events:
Oliver was 2nd in the 100 in 13.72 and 4th in the pole vault at 7’0”.
Callie Remacle was 2nd in the high jump at 4’6”, 3rd in the 1600 in 7:13.55, 6th in the 100 hurdles in 19.80 and 7th in the long jump at 13’½”.
Lacey Schwartz was 2nd in the 400 in 1:08.30, 4th in the 100 in 14.14 and 4th in the 200 in 30.61.
Avery Riener was 2nd in the 200 in 29.85 and 3rd in the triple jump with a PR of 30’1½”.
Sage Elven was 2nd in the discus at 121’11”, 3rd in the shot put at 30’8”, 10th in the 100 in 15.20 and 10th in the 200 in 31.85.
Lexi Schumacher was 3rd in the 100 in 14.08, 3rd in the 200 in 30.18 and 6th in the long jump at 13’11”.
Julia Rehder was 3rd in the long jump at 14’3¾”.
Elizabeth Severns was 3rd in the discus with a PR of 113’10”, 4th in the 1600 in 7:16.37 and 6th in the shot put at 29’6½”.
Tara Schlader was 4th in the 300 hurdles in 58.07, 6th in the discus at 92’0” and 6th in the triple jump at 27’9”.
Sarah Lustig was 4th in the discus with a PR of 93’4” and 16th in the shot put at 21’7½”.
Aubree Rehder was 5th in the 200 in 30.65.
Harlee Brannan was 7th in the discus at 91’4½” and 14th in the shot put at 21’10”.
Breanne Schwartz was 8th in the 100 in 14.64.
Meghan Fowler was 15th in the discus at 65’10” and 19th in the shot put at 19’4”.
Carmen Ove was 12th in the 100 in 15.39, 14th in the 200 in 33.73 and 14th in the long jump at 7’6¾”.
The 4x100 team of Geis, Aubree Rehder, Schlader and Julia Rehder finished 1st in 54.69 while the team of Brannan, Fowler, Lustig and Breanne Schwartz was 6th in 1:00.60.
The 4x200 team of Geis, Oliver, Aubree Rehder and Julia Rehder was 1st in 1:54.55.
The medley relay team of Aubree Rehder, Schumacher, Lacey Schwartz and Breanne Schwartz was 2nd in 2:10.62.
As a team the girls placed 1st with 211 pts., 92 more than 2nd place Kamiah.
Other boys results:
Briggs Rambo was 2nd in the 110 hurdles in 20.12, 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 48.77, 9th in the pole vault at 8’0” and 16th in the 100 in 13.70.
Secrest was 2nd in the 800 in a PR of 2:18.83 and 4th in the 200, also in a PR of 25.03.
Dylan Forsmann was 3rd in the 110 hurdles in 20.25, 4th in the 300 hurdles in 54.60, 19th in the 100 in 14.04 and 21st in the 200 in 29.32.
Jackson Enneking was 3rd in the 400 in 1:01.87, 8th in the long jump at 13’1¾”, 11th in the 100 in 12.98 and 14th in the 200 in 27.04.
Zane Uptmor was 4th in the 100 in 12.37, 5th in the triple jump at 32’9½”, 6th in the 200 in 25.76 and 6th in the discus at 114’3”. He had a PR in all 4 events.
Elven was 4th in the shot put at 37’0”.
Caden Armbrust was 4th in the 3200 in 12:38.72 and 6th in the 800 in 2:36.96.
Nate Forsmann was 6th in the shot put with a PR of 31’4”, 9th in the discus at 85’3” and 23rd in the 100 in 15.07.
Landon Riener was 7th in the 3200 in 14:29.94 and 8th in the 800 in 2:58.04.
Matt Wemhoff was 8th in the pole vault at 8’0”.
Peter Remacle was 11th in the discus at 77’3”, 14th in the shot put at 21’5” and 25th in the 100 in 16.99.
As a team the boys placed 2nd with 164.5 pts., just 5.5 behind 1st place Kamiah.
Kamiah Meet
The portion of the track team attending the Kamiah Meet Friday, April 28, was primarily those athletes that won’t be competing in the Meet of Champions at Lewiston on May 4.
Despite that, Prairie still had a first place winner as Lacey Schwartz won the 400 meter dash in a personal best time of 1:07.24. She was also third in the 100 in 14.20 and 4th in the 200 in 30.33, another PR.
Dylan Forsmann had the top finish for the boys team with a 4th place finish in the 100 hurdles in 21.14. He was also 6th in the 300 hurdles in a personal best 53.92.
Other girls results:
Schumacher was 3rd in the 200 in a PR of 30.07. She was also 5th in the 100 in 14.20, 5th in the 400 in a personal best 1:09.91 and 7th in the long jump at 13’2”.
Breanne Schwartz was 7th in the 200 in 31.02, 7th in the 400 in a PR of 1:10.23 and 9th in the 100 in 14.76.
Ove was 18th in the 200 in 35.79, 22nd in the long jump at 7’2½” and 26th in the 100 in 16.88.
The girls team was 9th out of 10 teams with 14 points.

Duclos was 6th in the 400 in 1:00.39, 7th in the pole vault at 8’6”, 14th in the 200 in 27.30 and 16th in the 100 in 13.35.
Nate Forsmann was 8th in the shot put with a PR of 31’9”, 10th in the discus, also with a PR of 91’6” and 30th in the 100 in 15.49.
Enneking was 9th in the 400 in 1:02.60, 9th in the long jump with a PR of 14’5”, 16th in the 200 in 27.96 and 24th in the 100 in 13.94.
Armbrust was 9th in the 3200 in 14:14.39 and 15th in the 800 in 3:03.47.
Riener was 10th in the 3200 in 16:12.79 and 16th in the 800 in 3:08.76.
Remacle was 16th in the discus at 74’1”, 20th in the shot put with a PR of 24’5” and 32nd in the 100 in 17.49.
As a team the boys placed 6th with 40 points.

Stamper wins two events at KMS Meet
Payton Stamper won two events at the Kamiah Middle School Meet held Thursday, April 27.
He won the 100 in a PR of 12.56 and the long jump with a PR of 16’2½”.
Erica Schlader was the only individual event winner for the girls with a 1st in the 75 hurdles in a PR of 14.67. She also set a PR in finishing 2nd in the 200 hurdles in 35.62.
Other girls results:
Aubree Geis was 2nd in the 200 in a PR of 30.11. She was also 3rd in the 800 in a personal best time of 2:58.86.
Nadia Cash set a PR in finishing 2nd in the long jump at 13’5¼”. She was also 4th in the 100 in 14.19 and 5th in the 200 in 30.74.
Faith Cash was 5th in the 800 in 3:06.16 and 24th in the 100 in 15.60.
Mia Anderson was 5th in the long jump at 12’4 ½”, and 8th in the 100 in 14.41.
Reagan Brannan was 6th in the discus at 61’3” and 19th in the 100 in 15.30, both PRs.
Molly Fowler was 7th in the discus at 61’2”, 18th in the 400 in 1:25.21 and 25th in the 200 in 36.40.
Avery Kehler was 7th in the 400 in 1:14.26 and7th in the long jump at 12’0”.
Avery Schacher was 7th in the shot put at 24’7½” and 41st in the 100 in 16.28.
Lillian Rehder was 8th in the long jump at 11’10½”.
Macie Uhlenkott was 9th in the discus at 60’3” and 27th in the 100 in 15.89.
Beka Schumacher was 20th in the discus at 45’11”.
Sheridan Ousnamer was 21st in the 200 in 35.50, 32nd in the long jump at 8’8” and 45th in the 100 in 16.39.
Brooke Bennett was 27th in the 200 in 37.23 and 53rd in the 100 in 17.38.
Alli Rambo was 29th in the long jump at 9’7”.
Alaina Decaria was 29th in the 200 in 42.79 and 59th in the 100 in 18.40.
Blake Uhlenkott was 35th in the 100 in 16.11.
The 4x100 relay team of Schlader, Brannan, Rehder and Nadia Cash took 1st in 57.35. The team of Blake Uhlenkott, Macie Uhlenkott, Fowler and Faith Cash was 9th in 1:04.77. The team of Schacher, Schumacher, Ousnamer and Rambo was 11th in the 1:06.95.
The 4x200 team of Kehler, Rehder, Geis and Anderson took 1st in 2:01.32. The team of Macie Uhlenkott, Blake Uhlenkott, Schumacher and Rambo was 5th in 2:18.46.
The 4x400 team of Anderson, Rambo, Blake Uhlenkott and Brannan placed 3rd in 5:04.62.
The medley team of Schlader, Kehler, Geis and Faith Cash placed 5th in 2:21.51.
As a team the girls placed 2nd with 100 points, 11 behind Payette Lakes of McCall.

Matthew Jones placed 4th in the 800 in 2:50.50, 12th in the 1600 in 6:16.05 and 25th in the long jump at 11’7”.
Kade Quintal placed 5th in the long jump at 14’5½”, 6th in the triple jump at 28’1½” and 10th in the 800 in 2:58.80.
Ashton Martin placed 7th in the shot put at 34’4” and 14th in the discus at 79’4”.
Trajan Elven placed 9th in the 400 in 1:14.50, 11th in the discus at 81’2” and 17th in the 200 in 32.06.
Onlyx Lish placed 10th in the 400 in 1:15.04, 13th in the discus at 80’0” and 18th in the 200 in 32.98.
Lane Mader placed 12th in the shot put at 28’2” and 15th in the 200 in 31.25.
Nathan Weber placed 14th in the 100 in 14.07.
Gabe Dicaria placed 14th in the 400 in 1:22.02, 20th in the 200 in 33.46 and 27th in the 100 in 14.97.
Kade Hanson placed 15th in the 400 in 1:22.56, 20th in the shot put at 21’6”, 26th in the 200 in 37.18 and 34th in the 100 in 16.60.
The 4x100 relay team of Quintal, Mader, Martin and Stamper placed 3rd in 54.01.
The 4x200 team of Stamper, Lish, Elven and Dicaria placed 3rd in 2:02.12.
As a team the boys placed 5th out of 9 teams with 49 points.
