May events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth,
As I write this I am thinking about the reality that this is my last monthly letter for the paper that I will be writing.  Wow, what a journey it has been, and I cannot thank God enough for the abundant grace He has poured upon my life over the past 20 plus years in this ministry.  I am in complete awe and gratitude as I prepare for the next adventure that lies ahead. Please join me this month on our May activities as we wide down the school year and celebrate our amazing God!
During the first week of May, I will be meeting with High school youth after school and into the evening for Confirmation interviews.
On May 5th We will have Adoration of the blessed Sacrament at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s.  Please join me in an hour of prayer! Everyone is invited!
On May 8th the Confirmation Liturgy will take place at 7:00 p.m. at St Mary’s Church at 7:00 p.m.  All Confirmation candidates and their sponsors are asked to be present at 6:30 p.m.  We will have a reception following the Mass and everyone is invited.  I am so proud of this group of young people and look forward to seeing how the Holy Spirit activates each gift as they are Confirmed! Come Holy Spirit Come!
On Wednesday, May 10th all High School girls are invited to the OMG for a “Night of Radiance”.  A night when we will talk about what it means to be a young woman of faith. We will begin the night with food at 6:30 and our discussion will follow.  Please girls, remember to invite your friends!
On May 13th the Jr. High and High School are invited to meet me at the Church parking lot at 8:45 a.m. We will be participating in the Walk for Life hosted by the Hope Pregnancy Center at Grangeville.  If you are joining us, I am asking you to please get at least 30.00 in donations for your walk.  We will be putting our money together as a group to support this Pro-Life Mission. I will be asking one person to take up donations after each of the Masses on May 6th-7th.  I will need adult drivers to take the youth over to the walk on Saturday May 13th.  If you can drive, please let me know.  We are usually finished by 12:00 p.m. Thank you for your support!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you beautiful mothers on May 14th.  Enjoy your day and remember how very much you are loved!
On May 16th I will be teaching a safe environment class at the Habit at 7:00 to all the adults going to Jamaica.  The youth do not need to attend until 7:45. If you are 18 and over you will need to attend this class.  Our Jamaica team will be leaving for our mission trip on June 6th and returning on June 19th.  Please pray for us as we finish up details for this mission adventure.
On May 17th the High School youth are invited to a Scavenger Hunt.  We will at St. Mary’s Church with some food at 6:30 and begin our hunt at 7:00.  I will need adult drivers to help with this because we will be divided into teams.  I will need at least 4 drivers with decent sized vehicles.  Please let me know if you can help.  It’s guaranteed to be a really fun night!
On May 21st we will be celebrating our Seniors at the 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Anthony’s.  Please join us as we recognize and bless our graduates for their accomplishments and presence in our parish communities.  A reception will follow the Mass at the Greencreek hall!
Our End of School Bash will take place at St. Mary’s Church on May 24th at 6:30.   All Jr High and High School youth are invited to this night of fun.  We will begin with food at 6:30 and follow with games and time around the fire pit making s’mores.  I look forward to seeing everyone present as we celebrate each other and the closing of the school year!
Our final event for the month of May is on May 31st.  The Jr. High are invited the OMG for a night of faith!  We will have pizza at 6:30 and have our faith session at 7:00.  All Jr. High youth are invited and encouraged to attend!
Mary, we pray for your intercession on each of these activities during this your month of May.  May we see your Son in all we do today and in the future!  Have a blessed and joy filled May!
With a heart of Gratitude,
Debbie
