Stan Lockett named Father of the Year
By Kaylie Lockett
F- is for the faith my father has in me. He always thinks I am capable of anything. My dad pushes me to be the best person I can be by believing in me and motivating me. When I think I have tried my hardest my dad reminds me I can always push harder. My dad has so much faith in my potential as a person it gives me motivation to try harder in everything I do.
A- is for my dads ambition. My father works like a dog to support and care for me and my family. He has so much on his shoulders all the time and he still gets himself out of bed everyday morning to provide for my family. There is so much my father does; he takes care of our animals, works his eight to five job, works on remodeling our other house, and so many other things. With all of this on his schedule he still always makes time for me.
T- is for the numerous things my dad has taught me. Every single thing I have learned about any sport has been from my dad. He taught me to play basketball, softball, and even helped me learn volleyball. My dad has always wanted me to succeed in the activities I participate in. He has spent countless hours researching dribbling drills, pitching drills, hitting drills, and much more for me because he wants me to achieve my full potential or atleast close to it. I am thankful to have someone who cares so much about me that they would devote so much time to help me improve.
H-is for how happy my father makes me. My dad is probably one of the goofiest people I know. Anyone that has met my dad would not believe that last sentence. But it is the truth. Around me and my family my dad is the funniest, most outgoing person you could meet, but to everyone else he is quiet and keeps to himself. I am unbelievably thankful for all the crazy memories I have with my dad. HE can cheer me up even on my worst days.
E- is for the endless love my dad shows me. My dad has always been one of my best friends since I was little. I was quite the daddy’s girl in my young age. My dad has always loved me no matter what. I have never once felt unloved by him even if we were in a big argument. I love my dad and he loves me.
R- is for how relaxed my father is. My dad is a pretty easygoing person. He loves to goof off, but he also enjoys to calm down and relax. Which I enjoy because it is nice to just sit in the living room with each other's presence and feel safe and comfortable. I love my dad so much words could not describe it. I am always thankful for being his daughter.
