3 school records either set or tied at Regional Meet The Prairie track team has a large contingent of state qualifiers that came out of the District I-II Track Meet held at Kamiah Friday and Saturday, May 12-13. Individuals winning District title were Trenton Lorentz, Noah Geis, Shane Hanson and Sage Elven. Lorentz won the 200 meter dash in a school record time of 23.04, breaking the record of 23.17 set by Zach Rambo of exactly 1 year earlier. Lorentz also qualified for State by placing 2nd in the 100 meter dash in 11.60. He also was part of another new school record of 45.31 set by the 4x100 team of Bennie Elven, Geis, Ben Secrest and Lorentz that placed 2nd and qualified for State. Lorentz was also part of the winning 4x400 relay team of Elven, Secrest, Lorentz and Geis that won in 3:38.14. The record broken by the 4x100 team was previously 45.5 and was set by Andy Duclos, Stan Lockett, Kevin McWilliams and Andy Harman in 1997. Geis won the 400 meter dash in 52.31. He made the finals in the 200 meter dash but missed out on qualifying for state with a 7th place finish and a time of 24.54. Hanson won the discus with a toss of 151’7”. He also qualified for state in the shot put where he finished 4th at 40’10½”. He was also 12th in the high jump at 5’2” and 26th in the 100 in 12.67. Sage Elven won the discus with a personal best mark of 124’0” which also broke the District Meet record. She also qualified for state in the shot put by finishing in 5th with a mark of 31’9”, also a personal best. She was also 29th in the 100 in 15.15. Tying a school record and qualifying for State was Sierra Oliver who finished 5th in the pole vault at 7’6”, tying the record set by Lauren Merrill in 2005. The other District champion was the girls 4x100 relay team of Alli Geis, Oliver, Julia Rehder and Kristin Wemhoff that won with a time of 51.69. Wemhoff qualified for state in 3 individual events as well. She was 2nd in the 100 in 12.95, 2nd in the 200 in 26.47 and 2nd in the 400 in 1:00.49. Also qualifying for state in 3 individual events was Sydney Shears who was 2nd in the 800 in a personal best of 2:24.69 that is just 0.2 off the school record set by Chaye Uptmor in 2016. She was also 3rd in the 1600 in 5:42.85, also a PR and 4th in the high jump at 4’8”. Prairie dominated both the boys and girls discus with 7 throwers qualifying for state. Bennie Elven was 2nd in the discus with a mark of 131’2”. He was also 8th in the shot put at 39’4”. Lee Forsmann was 3rd in the discus with a mark of 130’9”. Zane Uptmor was 5th in the discus at 128’7”, a new PR by several feet. He was also 12th in the triple jump at 34’6”. Elizabeth Severns was 2nd in the girls discus with a personal best mark of 113’11”. She was also 8th in the 3200 in 15:23.20, 12th in the 1600 in 7:06.34 and 14th in the shot at 29’3”. Hailey Hanson was 3rd in the discus with a personal best mark of 107’9”. She was also 17th in the shot put at 26’3”. Avery Riener qualified in the 2 individual events with a 2nd in the long jump at 14’3” and a 3rd in the triple jump at 31’2”. Callie Remacle qualified for state in the high jump by placing 2nd at 4’8”. She was also 11th in the 1600 in 7:01.91, 11th in the long jump at 13’1½” and 12th in the 100 hurdles in 19.87. The girls also qualified two additional relays for state. The 4x200 relay team of Geis, Riener, Oliver and Julia Rehder was 2nd in 1:50.20 and the 4x400 team of Geis, Oliver, Riener and Shears was 2nd in 4:24.33. Other girls results: Tara Schlader just missed qualifying for state in the discus where she placed 6th with a mark of 100’1”. She was also 11th in the triple jump at 28’0”, 15th in the 100 in 14.37 and 23rd in the 200 at 31.30. Lexi Schumacher was 8th in the 100 at 13.94, 11th in the 200 in 29.24 and 20th in the long jump at 12’8”. Lacey Schwartz was 9th in the 100 in 14.01, 12th in the 200 in 29.37 and 11th in the 400 in 1:08.01. Sarah Lustig was 10th in the discus at 86’8”, 23rd in the shot at 23’4” and 32nbd in the 200 in 32.66. Breanne Schwartz was 12th in the 400 in 1:10.39, 18th in the 200 in 30.42 and 18th in the 100 in 14.48. Aubree Rehder was 15th in the 200 in 30.07, 17th in the 100 in 14.45 and 23rd in the long jump at 11’6¾”. Harlee Brannan was 21st in the shot at 23’7” and 35th in the 200 in 33.00. Meghan Fowler was 21st in the discus at 73’9” and 41st in the 200 in 35.88. Carmen Ove was 37th in the long jump at 7’0”, 44th in the 100 in 16.19 and 45th in the 200 at 38.59. The medley relay team of Schumacher, Aubree Rehder, Julia Rehder and Geis finished 3rd in 1:58.70 but qualified for state as an at-large entry. Other boys results: Cole Duclos just missed on qualifying for state with a 6th place finish in the pole vault at 8’6”. He was also 12th in the 400 in 57.57 and 27th in the 200 in 26.21. Briggs Rambo made the finals in both hurdles races, just missing out on state by finishing 6th in the 300 hurdles in 46.73 and 7th in the 110 hurdles in 19.40. He was also 9th in the pole vault at 8’0” and 49th in the 100 in 13.,57. Secrest finished 8th in the 400 in 56.54 and 11th in the 200 in 24.75. Chase VonBargen was 8th in the 3200 in 11:14.43. Caden Armbrust was 9th in the 3200 in 11:40.70, 21st in the 1600 in 6:05.17 and 21st in the 800 in 2:33.32. Dylan Forsmann was 9th in the 110 hurdles in 20.24, 10th in the 300 hurdles in 52.48, 47th in the 200 in 28.40 and 52nd in the 100 in 13.72. Matt Wemhoff was 18th in the 800 in 2:31.49. Landon Riener was 19th in the 3200 in 15:57.65, 27th in the 1600 in 6:56.13 and 27th in the 800 in 2:53.15. Nate Forsmann was 21st in the shot at 32’0”, 24th in the discus at 90’2” and 59th in the 100 in 15.26. Peter Remacle was 38th in the shot put at 25’4”, 39th in the discus at 64’10”, 60th in the 100 in 17.19 and 60th in the 200 in 37.08. Jackson Enneking was 39th in the 200 in 27.15 and 43rd in the 100 in 13.27. The 4x200 team of Duclos, Lee Forsmann, Uptmor and Enneking placed 5th in 1:41.11. The medley team of Enneking, Uptmor, Lee Forsmann and Armbrust placed 7th in 4:22.04. Both squads placed 2nd in the team standings. The boys had 97.5 points, 12 behind Kamiah and the girls had 138 points, 24 behind Logos. Prairie also had the top 3 finishers in the girls discus. Sydney Shears passes 3 runners on the final turn to take second in the 800 with a new personal best that is les than 3 tenths of a second from the school record. She also qualified for State in the 1600. Avery Riener qualified for state by finishing 3rd in the triple jump. Briggs Rambo qualified for the finals in both hurdles races but fell short of qualifying for state. Cole Duclos finished 6th in the pole vault, 1 spot short of qualifying for state. Zane Uptmor in the triple jump. The final Junior High Track Meet of the season was held at Troy on Tuesday, May 9. Payton Stamper won 2 individual events. He won the 100 meter das in 12.68 and broke the school record in winning the long jump at 17’11”. Other event winners are Trajan Elven in the discus at 95’5”, a PR and Nadia Cash in the long jump at 13’6½”. Cash was also 3rd in the 100 in 14.12. The girls team also had a pair of relay team wins. Erica Schlader, Aubree Geis, Lillian Rehder and Nadia Cash won the 4x100 in 56.51. Avery Kehler, Geis, Rehder and Mia Anderson won the 4x200 in 2:00.80. Other girls results: Schlader was 2nd in the 75 hurdles in 14.14 and 5th in the 100 in 14.56. Rehder was 2nd in the long jump at 12’9”. Anderson was 3rd in the 75 hurdles in 14.48 and 4th in the 100 in 14.45. Macie Uhlenkott was 3rd in the discus at 66’0”, 7th in the shot put at 22’9” and 15th in the 75 hurdles in 16.47. Kehler was 4th in the long jump at 12’1” and 16th in the 75 hurdles in 16.61. Reagan Brannan was 4th in the discus at 62’0”. Avery Schacher was 6th in the shot put at 23’10½”, 5th in the high jump at 3’8” and 35th in the 100 in 17.48. Beka Schumacher was 7th in the discus at 54’0” and 18th in the 75 hurdles in 17.26. Alli Rambo was 9th in the 400 in 1:20.90 and 17th in the long jump at 10’0”. Molly Fowler was 9th in the discus at 51’9” and 38th in the 100 in 18.17. Blake Uhlenkott was 11th in the long jump at 10’10¾” and 19th in the 75 hurdles in 18.19. Alaina Decaria was 12th in the 400 in 1:47.22 and 39th in the 100 in 18.41. Marjorie Remacle was 14th in the 75 hurdles in 16.26. Brooke Bennett was 12th in the discus at 44’7”, 16th in the shot put at 18’4½” and 36th in the 100 in 17.88. Faith Cash was 18th in the 100 in 15.53. Sheridan Ousnamer was 19th in the long jump at 9’10¼”. The 4x100 team of Kehler, Blake Uhlenkott, Faith Cash and Brannan was 7th in 1:02.78 and the team of Fowler, Ousnamer, Remacle and Schumacher was 9th in 1:05.54. The 4x200 team of Remacle, Faith Cash, Rambo and Blake Uhlenkott was 4th in 2:17.16 and the team of Schumacher, Schacher, Ousnamer and Fowler was 7th in the 2:21.33. As a team the girls placed first with 103 points. Other boys results: Ashton Martin was 2nd in the shot put at 35’11” and 8th in the 100 in 13.54. Kade Quintal was 3rd in the triple jump at 28’9½”, 10th in the 800 in 2:54.20 and 10th in the long jump at 12’10”. Lane Mader was 3rd in the shot put at 31’2”, 10th in the discus at 80’1” and 19th in the 100 in 15.02. Matthew Jones was 4th in the 1600 in 6:17.14, 7th in the 800 in 2”47.23 and 21st in the long jump at 9’7”. Onyx Lish was 4th in the discus at 86’3”. Nathan Weber was 9th in the discus at 80’7”. Kade Hanson was 13th in the shot put at 20’10” and 32nd in the 100 in 18.15. Gabe Decaria was 15th in the 100 in 14.81. The 4x100 relay team of Quintal, Stamper, Mader and Martin was 3rd in 53.62 and the team od Decaria, Hanson, Lish and Weber was 8th in the 1:00.80. The 4x200 team of Decaria, Lish, Weber and Elven was 4th in 2:08.14. As a team the boys also finished in 1st with 75 points. March
